1. RE: Bella Roma on Route 138 in Taunton, Ma. Posted 3/28/2010 8:57 PM by Ragman
Went there a year ago. Tiny salad bar that was very uninspiring. Decent menu and food - typical Italian mixed in with typical American and typical specials. It is Taunton so they've got that advantage - not exactly a meca in great restaurants but it's a tough call between this restaurant and the...

2. RE: Thai food Posted 3/28/2010 8:57 PM by Ragman
I have visited both Nisa's and Chatta Box and have to say both have really good Thai food. Neither has much ambiance - unless you like the small and sometimes noisy Chatta Box (I think there's a pun in there) and I have only visited Nisa's at lunch but it isn't big (not that that's a bad thing). Bo...

3. RE: SEARCH FOR THE BEST CHICKEN PARMESAN Posted 1/25/2010 9:19 AM by Ragman
The Chateau in Norton has good Chicken Parm. as some have mentioned. The location is pretty sweet too. Right on lake Winnicunnit with a bunch of tables directly overlooking the lake. If your there during daylight you can be amused at the huckleberrys ice fishing while your having a nice Chianti a...

5. RE: Great drive in for food and root beer Posted 1/25/2010 9:17 AM by Ragman
I did stop by The Stand this fall. Had a cheeseburger and fries. Had I known about the Root Beer I would have gotten that but have to say the lunch was decently good - was impressed with the fries. Burger was fine but as you all know you can't get burgers cooked med. rare anymore so I've basicall...

6. RE: WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE MEXICAN RESTAURANT? Posted 1/25/2010 9:15 AM by Ragman
I've always been confused on what "real" food is too. I can tell you where "Really good" mexican food is in an area that hasn't seen mexican food (outside of Chili's) in as long as I remember .... and that's El Mariachi in Taunton on the Green. It opened in mid 2009 and I've been quite impressed i...

8. RE: No Problemo - New Bedford, MA Posted 9/28/2009 3:38 PM by Ragman
Recently did try El Mariachi and must admit it was very good. Good Mexican restaurants are tough to find. Just glad one popped up in a town that quite frankly has a dearth of good restaurants of any kind (save for the Hong Kong and possibly Benjamin's).
