RE: Bella Roma on Route 138 in Taunton, Ma.

Went there a year ago. Tiny salad bar that was very uninspiring. Decent menu and food - typical Italian mixed in with typical American and typical specials. It is Taunton so they've got that advantage - not exactly a meca in great restaurants but it's a tough call between this restaurant and the...

RE: Thai food

I have visited both Nisa's and Chatta Box and have to say both have really good Thai food. Neither has much ambiance - unless you like the small and sometimes noisy Chatta Box (I think there's a pun in there) and I have only visited Nisa's at lunch but it isn't big (not that that's a bad thing). Bo...

The Chateau in Norton has good Chicken Parm. as some have mentioned. The location is pretty sweet too. Right on lake Winnicunnit with a bunch of tables directly overlooking the lake. If your there during daylight you can be amused at the huckleberrys ice fishing while your having a nice Chianti a...

I did stop by The Stand this fall. Had a cheeseburger and fries. Had I known about the Root Beer I would have gotten that but have to say the lunch was decently good - was impressed with the fries. Burger was fine but as you all know you can't get burgers cooked med. rare anymore so I've basicall...

RE: WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE MEXICAN RESTAURANT?
Posted

I've always been confused on what "real" food is too. I can tell you where "Really good" mexican food is in an area that hasn't seen mexican food (outside of Chili's) in as long as I remember .... and that's El Mariachi in Taunton on the Green. It opened in mid 2009 and I've been quite impressed i...

Recently did try El Mariachi and must admit it was very good. Good Mexican restaurants are tough to find. Just glad one popped up in a town that quite frankly has a dearth of good restaurants of any kind (save for the Hong Kong and possibly Benjamin's).
